Mentors
What is a mentorship
Through the ACE Digital Database mentees will be matched with an employer based on interests, previous experience or skills. Mentors will receive a mentee for a 6-month period to receive on-the-job training and to add value to the organization. For the duration of their mentorship mentees will receive a stipend of $100 per month paid for by ACE.
At the beginning of their mentorship, mentors will be assigned an ACE officer who will work with them to track the progress of the mentee and guide both the company and the mentee through the process. The ACE officer will pay regular site visits and have regular communications with the mentor.
After the 6-month mentorship, mentees will then be equipped with the skills they need to become permanent members of staff within the mentor company.
Who can be a mentor
Companies and organizations from all sectors and business types are eligible to become a mentor. Mentors must be willing to provide on-the-job training and teaching to a mentee for 6 months and be able to provide regular feedback to their ACE officer on their mentee. Mentors are not expected to pay a salary to the mentee.
