Mentees
What is a mentorship
Through the ACE Digital Database mentees will be matched with an employer based on interests, previous experience or skills. Mentees will be placed within a company or organization for a 6-month period to receive on-the-job training and to develop their vocational skills. For the duration of their mentorship mentees will receive a stipend of $100 per month paid for by ACE.
At the beginning of their mentorship, mentees will be assigned an ‘ACE buddy’ who will guide them through their mentorship, track their progress and provide them with employment/career advise. Mentees will be expected to pay regular monthly visits to the ACE office to connect with their buddy and to collect their stipend for the duration of the 6-month placement.
After the 6-month mentorship, mentees will then be equipped with the skills they need to find permanent work in that field or potentially to be employed by their mentor company and receive a full salary.
Who can be a mentee
If you want to develop a vocational skill, obtain on-the-job training or gain work experience in a field you are interested in then you are eligible to apply for a mentorship. There are no age, education or level of experience restrictions. All mentees will be asked to commit to a 6-month placement and be expected to make regular monthly visits to the ACE office in Ainkawa.
